So after breaking down and using everything that i previosuly had in the bathroom..I was able to buy a new product to try in my hair...For those of you who didnt already know I have very COARSE hair..and usually no matter what i put in it how many times i DC or moisturize it usually stays or FEELS extra dry to me....even on the days where I moisturize or spritz my hair every couple of hous it usually looks and feels DRY! This line of products was recommended by a lady on Fotki that was having the same problem..So I bought the SAMPLE size....for $11.00 (no sense in being stuck with alot of product, that didnt work for more money)
I bought this Hydrating BALM and HEAVY cream and I LOVES LOVES LOVES IT! I washed my hair and used about a quarter size and SO FAR so GOOD! thats all it took...immediately my hair felt SOFTER..looked a lil bit more "livly-er" and after the morning steam shower and a lil bit of coconut oil feels so much better!
Thank you for using Picture and Video Messaging by U.S. Cellular. See www.uscellular.com for info.
I would definitely resommend this blend for those with Coarse DRY hair......check it out here @ Qhemet

Kaygan's DC # 2
SO Kaygan's DC's have kinda taking a back seat to her RINGWORM!!! This lil bugger of mine LOVEs, LOVEs, LOVEs Dirt, grass, animals...and she picked up a ringworm from her love of dirt..(I'll never understand for someone who hates to get their hairwashed, why she insists on putting things in her hair...ie EVERYTHING)
So we haven't been able to do much with her hair since she had to keep it "dry"...Our routine has been..every 2-3 days wahs her hair with Selsun Blue Medicated Shampoo, Condition her hair only, and put her "Kentolozoan" cream on top and style around her lil bald spot...ARGH
So now that it has started to clear up and she's cleared to go back to school, I decided she needed a good deep conditioner, to add some shine and sheen to her unruly do!!!
What I used was a Bluberry Banana conditioner:
Half a container of blueberry Banana baby food, added 1 tablespoon of honey, mixed in some VO5 Tea Tree Conditioner...
I rinsed her hair with warm water, shampoo'd with the selsun blue, then rinsed with diluted ACV (1 part AVC to 4 parts H2O) from there I applied our lil home made mix and combed it thru....Here I detagled and put into four sections (mindful to keep her infected part dry and separated) we let this sit for about 20 mins...we went and watched an episode of the Care bears in case your wondering!!LOL
Rinse with luke warm water and applied Coconut oil mixed with jojoba and avocado oil... and out the door we go

Also: FYI Jayla just turned 5 months yay..and we celebrated with a lil mini party where she got to taste her first piece of cake and ICE CREAM!!!! and in hair issues I usually dont do much with Jayla's hair..It is very THICK and Curly and she still has both her soft spots so she usually just gets a quick comb thrue and some oil...Yesterday we did 2 ponytails...to cute even though she didn't like the process
I did 2 ponytails on top where her hair is the thickest...I used to coated bands and just a lil bit of oil.... TOO CUTE

FYI: My mom is from the country and we tend to use those old time remedies for things like wingworm and small issues, but in this instance I didnt want to try putting bleach on her hair bc she's out in the sun alot...and the OTC creams didnt work....I always advise that if a home remedy doesnt work in a couple of days go to the DR.... Better Safe than Sorry

I Love PRODUCTS!!!

Organic Virgin Coconut OIL: 8.00 for 16oz jar (found it at the Whole Foods Store)
Fantasia Thick n Shine Gel: 4.00 for 16 oz
Avocado Oil: 6.00 for 8 oz bottle
Lusters Cholesterol: 3.50 for a 20oz jar
Unrefined Shea Butter: 8.00 for 10oz jar
Most items where found at either the Whole Foods Store or the Beauty Supply Store.
Ok so here is where my jouney began. After looking up plenty of suggestions and hair treatments on the blogs I decided to play around with some things that I already had (just wasnt using for my hair) and came out with some really good results. Generally I'd spend about 50.00 just on hair products alone after getting a perm so these homemade remedies will come in so handy (and pretty cheap too: Total of about 30 bucks).
For a moisturizer I mixed:
1/2 cococnut oil, 1/2 cholestorel with 6 drops of avocado oil.
For a Deep Conditioner:
I used the same mixed with 3 tbls of Shea butter and left on for an hour...30 min spent under the hood dryer with a plastic bag....
My hair ended up very SOFT and more manageable....I can see some curls starting to develope but it's still too short!!! :)
